It also features new works by students from the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm and the Academy of Fine Arts in
Helsinki.
Maria Hirvi and Lars Bang Larsen are guest editors of the anniversary issue. As an special event on the occasion of Hjärnstorm’s
anniversary, Nationalgalleriet, Bengt Jahnsson-Wennberg and Lars Bang Larsen have curated an exhibition about the 1960s underground
magazine PUSS 1968-1973, Nationalgalleriet, Stockholm, Oct. 13 — 28, 2007.
PUSS 1968-1973 documents the magazine’s history.
As an archival show it offers access to all issues, and film and art works related to PUSS, in order to shed light on developments
of anti-disciplinary subjectivity, discourse and image-making. The exhibition takes place at Nationalgalleriet which is run by some
of the magazine’s former editors, among others the artist Ulf Rahmberg.
The exhibition has been realised with support from Hjärnstorm and from the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
Special thanks to Carl Johan De Geer, Marie-Louise Ekman, Sture Johannesson, Ulf Rahmberg, Christer Themptander and Pia Jämtvalls
for lending works, and to the Museum Anna Nordlander for letting us reproduce Monica Sjöös God Giving Birth.
The ‘Psykedelia’ issue of Hjärnstorm has been supported by the psychedelic project at the Royal University College of Fine Arts,
Stockholm.
